Discover Madinah and Makkah According to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ

Madinah is a sacred city where the Prophet ﷺ lived, prayed, and taught. Visiting its holy sites allows you to get closer to Allah and follow His Messenger’s Sunnah.

 

Recommended places and acts:

 

• The Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid An-Nabawī) – Pray, make dhikr, visit the Rawdah, and send greetings (salām) to the Prophet ﷺ.                                                                                                    “A prayer in my mosque is better than a thousand prayers elsewhere, except the Sacred Mosque (Makkah).” (al-Bukhārī, Muslim)

 

• Quba’ Mosque – Pray here and earn the reward of an ‘Umrah.                                                “Whoever makes ablution at home and then comes to the Mosque of Quba’ and prays there, will have the reward of an ‘Umrah.” (Ibn Mājah, al-Nasā’ī)

 

• Mount Uhud – Pray for the martyrs and reflect on their sacrifice.                                                The Prophet ﷺ visited the martyrs and said: “I bear witness that they are martyrs with Allah.” (al-Bukhārī)

 

• Al-Baqī‘ Cemetery – Pray for the deceased.                                                                                    The Prophet ﷺ prayed for those buried in Al-Baqī‘: “Peace be upon you, abode of a believing people…” (Muslim)
